INTERACTER was our original multi-platform user-interface and graphics subroutine library for Fortran 77/9x developers. Since its original release in 1989, it has allowed single source programs to be ported between various platforms, including Windows, DOS, Unix and VMS. It was superseded in 1997 by Winteracter. Development of INTERACTER ceased in 2000. Technical support for INTERACTER has been withdrawn, as of 16/August/2006.

Selected versions of INTERACTER remain available, on a strictly unsupported basis, for the benefit of customers needing to maintain existing INTERACTER based applications on new compilers/platforms.

We now recommend Winteracter for new Windows, Linux or Mac OS X applications,
